    Epsom salt baths have a long list of amazing health benefits and are an excellent way to destress and detoxify the whole body.

    An Epsom salt bath can help to relieve pain and muscle cramps, relieve inflammation (making it beneficial in the treatment of sore muscles),  help ease bronchial asthma, and migraine headaches.

    They are a natural source of magnesium, which many of us are deficient in. Magnesium is the second most abundant element in human cells and the fourth most important positively charged ion in the body. It helps the body regulate over 325 enzymes and plays an important role in organizing many bodily functions, like muscle control, electrical impulses, energy production and the elimination of harmful toxins.

    French Green Clay is renowned for its cleansing, clarifying and purifying properties it effectively removes impurities and toxins, and stimulates blood and lymph circulation. It has analgesic and anit-inflammatory properties which make it beneficial for muscular pain, swelling and arthritic or rheumatic conditions. Its toning action stimulates the skin by brining fresh blood to damaged skin cells, revitalising the complexion and tightening pores.

    The Green tea extract has antioxidant properties, helps reduce irritation, increase blood flow for skin healing and is free radical scavenging. Paired with the Peppermint essential oil which contains menthol, an organic compound with local anesthetic properties which provides a wonderful cooling sensation while it naturally alleviates discomfort.     How long do I bath for ? You will need at least 40 minutes to soak in the tub. Within the first 20 minutes of treatment the salts pull toxins out of your body through the skin. The second 20 minutes allows for the absorption of minerals to occur.

    How much Epsom Salt Bath mix do I put in the bath ? Use ½ to 1 cup for each bath. Always follow your bath with a drink of water as you can feel a little dehydrated afterwards. 

    Please note that you should not take Epsom salt baths if you are pregnant, have exposed cuts or burns on your skin, or are severely dehydrated.
