What exactly is an essential oil?

Essential oils contain the true essence of the plant it was derived from.

Every plant has individual properties that are due to a unique blend of aromatic compounds, phytonutrients, and organic molecules. They are generally distilled (by steam or water) from the leaves, stems, flowers, bark, roots, or other elements of a plant.

The chemical composition and aroma of essential oils can provide valuable mental, physical, emotional and benefits through their use.
