Finding Zen

Finding Zen amidst chaos simply means to slow down, revel in the moment instead of escaping it and among all the madness and chaos that surrounds you, being at peace within.

If we can quiet our inner chaos, our outer chaos will simmer.

What are some tips for staying centered and achieving Zen ?

1) Breathe

Sometimes when everything is out of control one of the most beneficial things you can do is to stop and be still and breathe. Big deep breathes through your nose and into your diaphragm then out through your mouth.  

2) Stay positive

It's hard to stay positive amongst the chaos but sometimes it's best to try to remove yourself from the situation causing the stress and see it from a different point of view. Change your perspective !

3) Laugh out loud 

Stop taking yourself so seriously. You're allowed to laugh, be silly and let your inner child loose sometimes. It's good for the soul and helps restore your zen. 

4) Spend time in nature 

Nature ground us and keeps us centered. Take a walk in the bush, go to the beach and walk in the sand and listen to the ocean. Connect with nature and she'll connect with you.
